Arms Wide Open

Holding inside this impetuous feeling of running away
fighting against my needs of never letting you down again
I welcomed this graceless version of me,
No, no, I can't be like this

But then I listen to the voice inside my head,
I can't breathe, so I count to three before passing out
And then unconsciousness wakes me up somehow
I'm sitting next to you, looking at all the eternity ahead

Days pass me by but they can't touch me
I stay still, though I want to leave, I still can't breathe
My mind is one with your wildest dreams
An eternity is in your hands and my love is floating nowhere

We can be anything, I feel so free
Unreachable, out of my mind, outside my body
Now close your eyes and hold me next to your chest
Show me the cure of this gracelessness

I waited long so I can hold on a little more
With my arms wide open, I reinvent the best version of me
To show the world my greatest smile
And only you can see how happy I really am.
